Cyber Power Black Pearl PC (Review)

Playing PC video games requires more than just the cheapest bargain computer with wimpy hardware components. Those kinds of gaming PCs may have attention-capturing specs like Intel i7 processors or Windows 7 OS, but it's everything else that defines what the machine can actually do. Things like no-name motherboards and RAM are inexpensive – but you end up paying a steep price in performance. Playing games on a system with cheap hardware is like entering the Indy 500 with your mom's old station wagon. People who know gaming PCs know that high-end hardware is what makes high-end gaming PCs. A quality machine would never put a no-name part in the box and expect to sell it. The CyberPower PC Black Pearl received our TopTenREVIEWS Gold Award because it's the gaming PC that sets the standard for high-end gaming systems. This machine is full of names like Corsair and Gigabyte, which are both highly rated manufactures in their respective fields. Overall this machine not only stomps the competition into the ground but does it with ease.
Video/Audio:
A few months ago NVIDIA dropped a couple of bomb shells on us, the GTX 480 and 470. However, do to some minor issues the 480 was updated and sent out with a new name the GTX 580 which is by far their best card. This card is one of the most powerful on the market, giving the owner of one a nice smooth ride in any game they play. CyberPower's Black Pearl gaming PC comes equipped with two of these amazing cards, which is more than enough graphic processing power to run any game at max graphic settings and maintain a high rate of frames per second.
Each card has 1.5GB of GDDR5 video memory, which is more than enough for any game and is only dwarfed by AMD's flagship, the ATI Radeon HD 5970, which has 2GB. The 1.5GB of memory are clocked at 1848 MHz and a core speed of 772 MHz, which is the fastest on the market
Aside from excellent performance, the other great part about the GTX 400 series cards is their inclusion of DirectX 11 which is the newest multimedia and gaming interfaced used to make those games even more realistic. For a while ATI cards were the only contenders in that market but that is no longer the case. DX 11 focused on adding more computing support, as well as the video rendering feature tessellation. These were to really give game developers, and eventually gamers, more realistic and fluid graphics rendering.
Tessellation has been around for a while but has never been implemented much due to the processing power it takes. Since the DX 11 release, though, that is probably about to change. NVIDIA took those same things and integrated them into the FERMI technology that the GTX 400 series has. With this added technology and support we are ready for some seriously intense graphics that will astound us all.
Processor:
Quad-core processors dominate most of the high-end gaming PC market. However, both Intel and AMD have taken the next step and brought out a six-core, 12-thread chip. The CyberPower PC Black Pearl has the Intel Core i7 980 Extreme, which is by far the most powerful CPU on the market. This processor stock is clocked at 3.3 GHz but it comes overclocked to 4 GHz. Normally you would have to worry about heat, but this gaming PC comes with the Asetek 510LC 120mm Liquid Cooling system, which will keep everything at a reasonable temperature.
Memory/Storage:
Another very important feature that every gaming PC needs is a good set of RAM. The CyberPower PC Black Pearl has 6GB of Kingston's HyperX DDR3, which is clocked at 1600 MHz. The motherboard allows for adding another three sticks if you wish and can handle faster clock speeds as well. That is plenty of RAM power and probably isn't the bottleneck on this rig. If there is a bottleneck it probably resides with the hard drive, which is a regular 7200 1TB HDD. Thankfully that is the secondary drive. The primary is an Intel 80GB SSD. As long as you are using it and not the secondary, slow speeds are not probable.Additional Features:
The motherboard housing all these jaw-dropping pieces of technology is the ASUS P6X58D-E Intel X58, which should handle just about anything you can throw at it. The CyberPower PC Black Pearl has two PCI Express x16 slots, both running at x16. There are another two x16 slots running at x8 and then two xl slots. There is also a PCI slot for anyone still using equipment that requires one. With about every SATA connection you can think of you should have no problems with storage interface options. Also there is FireWire and up to 10 USB ports at your disposal.
This gaming PC is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit like most other pre-built machines. There are two optical drives, a Blu-ray drive and a DVD +/- RW drive. Now between the processor, RAM, graphics cards, optical drives, water cooling and everything else you can imagine how much power this gaming PC must need. Thankfully there is a Corsair 1000-watt power supply to do the job, and it does it well. A power supply with this much wattage should have no problem keeping up to speed with advancing technology.
Support / Warranty:
CyberPower PC offers full information about what is in each of their gaming PCs but like most other companies doesn't go into much detail about the specs of each piece of hardware. This is common and isn't really a problem since most people know what they're looking for when they buy a gaming PC. Although they don't offer those details, they can still easily be found elsewhere.According to the code of Power PC's warranty, you are covered by a limited three-year labor and one-year parts warranty. Although it's only a guideline and not an actual rule, if any parts are defective, they will show their true colors before that one year mark usually. Three years of labor is nice should you need any servicing. After three years most gamers are looking to upgrade. On the gaming PC website you can find a contact phone number, email address, FAQs, driver downloads and just about anything else you could want for additional help and support.
Summary:
As you can see, the CyberPower PC Black Pearl gaming PC is by no means the "$300 super savings special." Gaming PCs need high-end hardware and unmatched computing speeds and this system gives you all the computing power you could ever want in a gaming computer. With it you can set sail on the vast ocean of great games, then pillage and plunder to your heart's desire. With all the great games coming out and DirectX 11 implementation creeping into the works, all gamers can use a powerhouse like this computer to help them in their epic gaming adventures.

Lady Diana

"I'm here for Diana. A lot of people are here for Diana." So said a pretty blonde woman, probably aged about 50 or so, close by Buckingham Palace yesterday.
Next to her was a portable CD player. From it came the sounds of old time music hall, the street party soundtrack of the wartime generation. But nobody was doing the Lambeth Walk. Those days, it seems are gone. There were no Pearly Queens.
Yet there were lots of Union Flags. Many were carried by Britons whose parents and grandparents came to the UK after our current Queen ascended to the throne.
It was hard not to be struck that it took a royal wedding - not a Home Office initiative - to produce this act of social cohesion. Put bluntly, the royal wedding did more to decontaminate the Union Flag than many a Government dictat.
Why? A Sikh man I talked with at Canada Gate put it well when he said it was a chance to prove his Britishness. He carried an enormous Union flag on a gilded staff.
This elongates the thread which began with the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales. She was popular with those who did not always feel welcome. She cradled African babies before it became fashionable for celebrities to try and look caring.
So it was yesterday too.
Republicans argue that a royal wedding might attract tourists, but serves no societal purpose. That is simply not true.
The royal wedding is a prism through which we get to have a good look at ourselves. From the way certain cities hosted street parties (while others didn't), to the slightly hesitant celebrations (we don't sing so much collectively in crowds anymore) - the royal wedding was as much about the subjects learning about the country as it was about the country learning about the royals.

In 1967, a Chicago bank rejected to provide pound loan to a professor named Milton Friedman, because his purposed was to use this fund to sell short the British pound. Before this agreement was signed, the gold remittance standard system which was widely used since 1876 - was leading the international economy system until the First World War. In the gold remittance system, the currency was at the stable level under the support of the gold price. The gold remittance system has abolished the old time king and the ruler which depreciates the currency value unlawfully, which will lead to inflation.
But, the gold remittance standard system is certainly imperfect. Along with a country economic potentiality enhancement, it can import massive products from overseas, until it exhausts the gold reserve of certain country. It resulted the supply of the currency reduces, the interest rate raises, the economic activity will start to decline until it reaches the recession limit. Finally, the commodity price falls to the valley, gradually attracts other countries to stream in, massively rushes to purchase this country commodity. This will pour gold into this country, this will increase this country currency supplies quantity, and it will reduce the interest rate, and will create the wealth. London's convenient geographical position (is situated between Asian and Americas market) also helps to maintain the European market as the dominant position.

Afridi Againstnst PCB

KARACHI – Former skipper of Pakistan cricket team Shahid Khan Afridi on Wednesday withdrew the petition filed against Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) from the Sindh High Court (SHC).Counselling on behalf of the all-rounder Shahid Afridi, Mehmood Mandviwala Advocate appeared before a division bench comprising Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi, and submitted an application to withdraw from Afridi’s petition.Moving with the plea, the counsel submitted that both the parties have agreed for the settlement of the matter out of the court. The court granted his application. Afridi did not appear in court himself and was represented by his lawyer, who had moved with the plea to take the petition back.Later, Afridi’s lawyer Mandviwala told the media representatives that his client has withdrawn the petition after the agreement between both the parties, and he has also decided to appear before the PCB’s disciplinary committee likely today (Thursday), wherein he will defend himself."We didn't want to go to court but were forced. Now I hope Afridi will get the NOC (no-objection certificate) and will be able to play in England and Sri Lanka," he added.After withdrawal of the petition, the rift between the national cricket governing body and former captain Afridi ended. Afridi went to court after the PCB punished him for allegedly breaching a code of conduct by announcing his retirement after he was dumped as one-day captain, and for levelling allegations against the board.It suspended his central contract and revoked all his no-objection certificates (NOCs). In his constitutional petition Afridi had challenged the PCB’s decision regarding imposition of ban and taking disciplinary action, while termed the disciplinary actions and show-cause notices issued by the PCB as illegal, and pleaded to restrain the board to do so.The petitioner had expressed his dissatisfaction on the PCB’s three-member disciplinary committee, and stated that the committee had been formed with mala find intention. Chairman PCB and federal sport secretary were cited as respondents in the petition. The petitioner had pleaded that the PCB’s decision regarding imposing of ban on him and revoking his no-objection certificate (NOC) be nullified, and restrain the board from taking other disciplinary actions.
